ENGLISH Premier League side, West Ham have launched a £6 million (about N1,876,193,790 Billion) bid for Victor Moses and are “hopeful” of concluding a deal for the Chelsea winger, Goal of the UK understands.
The Hammers have embarked on a major spending spree this summer as Slaven Bilic looks to reshape his squad, and the Croatian is now keen to sign a pacey winger to support his strikers.
The Nigerian has subsequently been identified as a key target and West Ham have entered into talks with Chelsea as they attempt to seal a deal, though the Blues value the 24-year-old at £10m.
Nevertheless, sources have confirmed that dialogue is continuing and that the Hammers are optimistic of reaching a compromise with the Premier League champions.
Moses has spent the past two seasons out on loan, with Liverpool and Stoke City respectively, and remains on the periphery of Jose Mourinho’s first-team squad.
Should West Ham complete a deal for the Nigeria-born winger - who made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Potters last season - he is likely to be joined by a striker, with the club actively pursuing forward targets.
