Ogbuke on trials with Sunderland

EX-Super Eagles striker, Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke is set to revive his club career as he's on trials with Sunderland.
Recall, Ogbuke whose contract expired at Schalke, is a free agent having left the Bundesliga club in the summer following three-and-a-half seasons with the Royal Blues.
Sam Allardyce is keen to assess his options up front after taking over at the Stadium of Light, with Sunderland having scored only eight goals in nine Premier League matches this season.
The 29-year-old has been troubled by injuries in his career and the last time he hit double figures in a season was 2007-08 when he managed 12 goals in the German second division for Hoffenheim. In 2010, he competed with the Nigerian national squad that finished in third place at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and also contested the 2010 World Cup.
