According to the wire source, Dike was brought in by the Major League Soccer (MLS) side in 2013, in hopes of adding a striker who can come into games and finish the job.
The Nigerian had the strength and ability to get those late goals, but injuries really set him back.Dike was acquired by TFC in 2013 from the Portland Timbers, in a trade that sent Max Urruti the other way. He started five game for the Reds, coming off the bench twice. He would only score on goal in his brief minutes with the Reds.
Dike was able to earn a trial with Scottish giants Celtic in 2013, but he arrived back with no offer from the team. Dike then injured himself while training before the 2014 season started. After finally making the Nigerian national team, and could've been a go to player for the Reds late in games, the
injury kept him out for the majority of the season.
From 2014-2015, Dike would only make two appearances for the Reds, totaling 39 minutes on the pitch. Dike was loaned to San Antonio this past season, but was recalled to take on Manchester City in their friendly this past summer and rejoined the team in July. He would not return back on loan,
and is now looking for a new club. He will take part in the upcoming Re-Entry Draft stage on December 11.
