CHAN 2016: Bondo to ref Tunisia/Nigeria tie

JOSHUA Bondo from Botswana has been named by CAF to officiate Friday's high profile Group C tie between Tunisia and Nigeria at the 22, 000 capacity Kigali Regional Stadium.

NaijaSportsXtra can report that Bondo an ex-player turn referee received a last minute call-up to officiate at the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) after an unnamed referee failed a fitness test.
Bondo will be assisted by fellow countryman, Oamogetse Godisamang and South African, Stevens Khumalo, while Mali's Mahamadou Keita will serve as the reserve referee.

Nigeria who thrashed Niger Republic 4-1 tops the group with 3points, followed by Guinea 1point, Tunisia 1point and Niger no point.
Meanwhile, the Cathage Eagles goalkeeper, Zied Jebali could be in goal against Nigeria after he resume light training today.
Jebali pulled a muscle during Tunisia's 2-2 draw with Guinea.
Also the team's physical trainer, Jalel Hergli is expected to return to Kigali tomorrow (Thursday).
Hergli hurriedly left Rwanda on Sunday night, following the news of his mother's death.
