Dalung mourns late NFF protocol head

NIGERIA'S Sports Minister Barr. Solomon Dalung paid a condolence visit to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) secretariat following loss of Head of Protocol, Ibrahim Abubakar.
Late Abubakar was shot dead by armed robbers in his house in Abuja in the early hours of today.
 Dalung, who signed the condolence register said he was shocked by the incident.
"We pray that the Lord will console the family he left behind, the NFF and the entire football family. May God grant him eternal rest (Amen)."
A traumatized NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said of Abubakar's sudden death: "He was full of life when he left the office yesterday; the Federation has lost a dedicated and assiduous staff. This is so painful."
'Ibro' as he is fondly called, joined the Nigeria Football Federation in 2007. He will be buried later today at his residence in Kaduna according to Islamic rites. He is survived by a wife and three boys.
Meanwhile, the Home-Based Eagles are expected to wear black arm bands against Angola's Palancas Negras in this evening pre-CHAN tune-up game at the University of Pretoria football pitch.
