CONFED CUP: Nasarawa Utd, Akwa crash out

By Rasaq Oboirien
IT was two tales for Nigeria's flag-bearers in the CAF Confederation Cup as  Nasarawa United advanced to the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup while Federations Cup winners, Akwa Utd crashed out.
The Solid Miners who will face CS Constantine from Algeria in the first round, were  held hosts Generation Foot of Senegal to a goalless draw Saturday to go through 2-1 on aggregate.
For Maurice Coreman's side, they failed to keep to their promise after they lost 5-4 on penalties to Congo’s V Club Mokanda on Saturday.
The Congolese side cancelled out Akwa United 1-0 win in Uyo to drag the game into penalties.
The Fed cup holders missed their 5th kick while the Congolese club who will host Police of Rwanda scored all their five kicks.
