By Rasaq OboirienTHE technical crew of Lobi Stars of Makurdi has insisted that Coach Kadiri Ikhana’s spying mission on their team in Ijebu-Ode won’t stop them from getting a result in Ibadan.
Recall Shooting Stars host the Godwin Koko Uwa team on matchday one of the new season at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.One of the coach told NaijaSportsXtra in confidence, “This is a pre-season tournament so the veteran coach has the right to watch our games.
“When we heard they were going to camp here in Ijebu-Ode after they pulled out of the Gold Cup championship, we knew one or two coaches we watch our games.
“We are happy he’s seeing our games, and his presence is giving the team the confidence it needs to go into the week one game in Ibadan.
“Mind him, it's going to be a different ball game in Ibadan as Lobi Stars is just in Ijebu-Ode to build a team as we are trying to blend the old and some of the new players together as the team is just three weeks old.
“After the championship, we’ll then say we have a team that can compete well in the Nigeria Premier League when we go back to Makurdi to finally appraise our performance.”
