CHAN Eagles skipper, Chima Akas and 29 other Nigeria Premier League stars that have been invited to camp by Coach Samson Siasia to kick-off preparations for the Rio Olympics, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The African U-23 champions who claimed gold in the mens football event 22 years ago in Atlanta, will seek to win another gold medal when the games kicks off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August.
Old faces like goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel, Erhun Obanor, Stanley Dimgba, Kufre Ebong, Ndifreke Effiong, Ubong Ekpai and Daniel Etor made the list.
While, invitation was also extended to new players like Godwin Obaje, Julius Emiloju, Ifeanyi Mathew, Kabiru Moshood and Harrison Ibukun. The invited players are expected to arrive the Starview Hotel, Gwarinpa Estate, Abuja on Tuesday, 12th April, 2016, with their international passports, while
training commences on Wednesday, 13th April.
