Sunshine won't hold down any player during window-Mafo

By Our Reporter
SUNSHINE Stars management has informed that it has no plans to hold down any of players when the mid-season transfer window becomes active next week, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
President of the Akure based team, Prince John Ola Mafo made this known when he re- affirmed the club's commitment to always give players' welfare top priority.
Addressing the players as they shape-up for the last home match of the 1st round against Wikki Tourists at the Akure Township Stadium on Wednesday, the ODSFA boss who commended them for their understanding and commitment, expressed determination to always make them happy.
"Let me commend you for your understanding and commitment so far. It is a thing of joy to know that we are on the same page towards achieving the set objectives this season".
"We shall continue to make you happy so that you (the players) can also do your bit on the field at all times to give us the desired result. Mr Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has done a lot for us, and we can only make him happy by achieving the set target at the end of the season".
The former Commissioner for Information, Youth Development and Sports used the occasion to appeal to the players not to rest on their oars, adding that those who are considered surplus to requirements by the technical crew will be given free clearance to seek job elsewhere.
"It is important for us to agree on the way forward. Some of you who have not been able to live up to expectations and are considered surplus to requirements will be allowed to go with a free clearance during the mid season transfer window.
"We wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors".
