RUSSIA 2018: Cameroon coach gets must win ultimatum against Nigeria

By Rasaq Oboirien
CAMEROON's football federation, FECAFOOT has charged coach Hugo Broos and his back room staffs to lead the Indomitable Lions to victory in their next 2018 African World Cup qualifying games against Nigeria, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
FECAFOOT while expressing it's dissatisfaction after the Lions 1-1 home draw to Zambia, charged the Belgian to put Cameroon's World Cup campaign back on track as he was handed a two match must win ultimatum against Nigeria.
With the ultimatum, Broos who has more than eight(8) months to prepare his team, must beat the Group B leaders in the decisive away (Uyo) and home (Limbe) fixtures which comes up in September 2017.
Broos in his post-match comments after the draw with Chipolopolo said:"There is still much work to be done. We had a very bad first half. In addition, the free kick which caught the team off guard was as a result of a lack of concentration.
"But it shows us what we are capable of, and what we still have to do to improve ourselves. The next few months would be for the AFCON tournament in Gabon.
"However, before this game, we already knew that the matches against Nigeria will be decisive. We will have to win to have another chance to go to the World Cup. We have eight months to prepare."
Nigeria who defeated Desert Foxes 3-1 leads the group log with 6points followed by Cameroon 2points while Algeria and Zambia are leveled on a point each.
