'We must win without injured Martins'

SEATTLE Sounders midfielder, Gonzalo Pineda has charged his mates to start winning games without injured ex-Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins
This is coming in the wake of their 4-1 loss to the Timbers on Sunday at Providence Park; the Sounders are going to have to find a way to get it done without its pair of star forwards. They face league-leading D.C. United on Friday at CenturyLink Field.
“I think we need to figure out a different style without Oba and Dempsey,” Pineda said. “Obviously, they’re great forwards for us and obviously we miss them. But we have different people and they have different quality than Oba and Clint. So we have to play differently.
“We have to play as Sounders,” Pineda said. “No matter who is on the field of play, we have to establish the rhythm of the game.”
“Friday, we have to win that game. It doesn’t matter how.”
Meanwhile, the initial estimated recovery time of Obafemi Martins’ groin injury hasn’t changed from its initial three to six weeks, though Seattle coach Sigi Schmid did say he’d start the next stage of his rehab on Tuesday.
