DESPITE sharing spoils against Lobi Stars of Makurdi in a six-goals thriller on Match Day 19, reigning Glo Premier League champions, Kano Pillars, have axed Coach Okey Emordi.
Media Officer, Idris Malikawa told the media that the newly inaugurated board of the Kano State-owned team headed by Kabiru Baita, approved Emordi’s dismissal owing to poor results.
Malikawa disclosed that a way forward for the club will be charted on Tuesday even as Ahmed ‘Yaro Yaro’ Garba has been named as the temporal replacement for the sacked ex-Rangers International of Enugu coach.
Pillars are currently ninth on the table with 27 points and nine points behind leaders Sunshine Stars and Enyimba.
