Clubs poach Giwa FC stars

 By Rasaq Oboirien
NAIJASPORTSXTRA can report that Giwa FC of Jos could lose a few of its influential stars before the commencement of the 2015/16 football season.
Top on the list of those been poached by other Nigeria Premier League sides, are newly wedded and ex-Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo, CHAN Eagles defender, Christopher Madaki Maichibi and the club's captain, Charles Henlong.
According to our source from the Rwang Pam Stadium, "Having failed to secure a CAF Confederations Cup ticket last season, I can specifically tell you that the likes of Ojo, Maichibi and Henlong will leave the club as they are been eyed by bigger club.
"Not just big clubs, but continental bound team.
"I can also tell you that some of them have tendered transfer requests but the club management is just reluctant to let them go." Only recently, Ocheme Edom dumped the Jos team to sign for Heartland FC of Owerri.
Meanwhile, our source also informed that the club concluded an open screening exercise it held last week with over 200 youngsters in attendance.
Those selected from the programme are expected to take part in the second phase of the exercise, as they would give the invited professionals from other Nigeria Premier League clubs a run for the club's jersey.
