INJURED Leon Balogun will be released by the Super Eagles to return to his base in Germany to treat his ankle injury, officials have told AfricanFootball.com
The Mainz defender, who has won four caps for Nigeria, will therefore not be available for selection in Tuesday’s friendly against Niger in Port Harcourt.
Balogun traveled with the rest of the squad to Tanzania, but he was ruled out of Saturday’s AFCON qualifier due to an ankle injury and his place was taken by Warri Wolves star Solomon Kwambe.
