SUPER Eagles forward, Brown Ideye has hailed the brilliance of the Golden Eaglets after they made it two-out-of-two wins defeating USA 2-0 and host Chile 5-1.
The Olympiacos striker who scored the winning goal in Tuesday
night's Champions League game against Dynamo Zagreb, stayed
up to watch the Eaglets vs Chile match at the wee hours of Wednesday.
Ideye said: "Watching the Nigeria vs Chile game,this boys are
talented💪🏾 Nigeria is bless," his tweet read.
A goal within 30 seconds by star man Samuel Chukwueze set the
tone for Nigeria as the bid for a defence fot the title they won in the U.A.E two years ago.
Chukwueze, then bagged his brace in the second half after he had earlier been fouled for Kelechi Nwakali's to score from the spot, and before he was felled for Victor Osimhen's successful spot kick conversion after he had scored at the start of second half.
Chile then got a consolation goalcame courtesy of Marcelo Allende, who slammed past Akpan Udoh from Luciano Diaz's
cross.
Nigeria join Korea Republic in the last 16, with Chile set to face USA in a pivotal final clash back at the Estadio Sausalito on Friday.
