Pellegrini: Iheanacho is City's future

Manuel Pellegrini believes Kelechi Iheanacho can have a big future with Manchester City.
The 19-year-old Nigerian striker will definitely be in the squad for tonight’s League Cup clash with Crystal Palace and could be given his first start.
So far he has had to make do with six substitute appearances but that has not stopped him making an impact, notably scoring the winner in last month’s Premier League match against Palace.
Iheanacho joined City’s academy in January 2014, and Pellegrini said: “I think he has the quality to have a very high level in this squad.
“It’s very difficult with young players because you don’t know the way they carry on improving their performance but it’s very important not to think because you arrive with the first team you are ready as a professional player.
“He’s a player that must work a lot but I think he’s a player that has important options in the future. Where he arrives will depend on how he takes his chances.”
