We got a result against Falconets-Migchelsen

BASETSANA Head Coach Elisabeth Migchelsen says her team got a very good result against Nigeria.
South Africa lost 2-1 to the Falconets in the first leg at the Abuja National Stadium last weekend scoring a crucial away.
The return leg will take place on Saturday, 7 November at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
She told SAFA.net that: “Under the circumstances we had in Nigeria, I think this is a very good result. They way the staff and the team dealt with everything was just amazing. We had a long travel, had to change hotels and we played on a very long grass but still managed to score an away goal against Nigeria. What gives me more hope is that we scored a crucial away goal,” said.
The squad is enjoying a week’s break and return to camp on Sunday, 1 November to start preparations for the second leg. But the technical team knows what needs to be done to ensure victory.
“I am very confident of a positive result at home mainly due to the circumstances I mentioned earlier. If you saw how the girls fought, they showed they want to go to the World Cup. They played with their hearts, they were disciplined in what they needed to do, and so with all that I am very positive. We know first of all that we cannot afford to concede, then we must score a goal and then we would have qualified. They will try to make it difficult for us but I see the results going our way,” added Migchelsen.
Meanwhile the players who got injured in Abuja on Saturday are recovering well. Noma Sikweza was taken off due to chest pains while her replacement Amanda Mthandi suffered an ankle sprain.
The winner between Basetsana and Nigeria u20 will qualify for the 2016 FIFA u20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
