EX-Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike continued with his goal scoring form as he bagged a brace in Al-Ain 2-4 victory over Al Shaab at the Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium (Al Sharjah (Sharjah) on Friday afternoon.
Al-Ain who finished the game with a man short didn’t deter them, as they seized the lead in the 35th minute; Diaky netting his double as he nodded home Omar Abdulrahman’s corner to make it 2-1, and by the 38th minute it was 3-1 as Emmanuel Emenike struck a penalty after a handball by Celio dos Santos, though the defender’s offence appeared to have taken place outside the area.The Nigerian then scored his 7th goal of the season in the 78th minute via the penalty spot, after he was fouled by goalkeeper Obaid Altawila.
Al-Ain is now 4points clear off Al Ahli who are placed second on the Arabian Gulf League log.
