HEAD coach of the South African Men’s u23 National Team, Owen da Gama says his team can play any of Nigeria, Egypt or Algeria in the semi-finals of the CAF U-23 Championship.South Africa who finished second behind host, Senegal in Group A, will have to wait till Saturday to know who tops Group B.
Da Gama said in his post-match chat that: "We can't pick who we play in a tournament, play each match as it comes.
"We will wait to see who we drawn against then prepare," he said.
On his team's victory over Tunisia: "It was a very tough game. Tunisia wanted to win but I have said we want to peak at the right time. Credit to the boys."
A lone goal victory over Tunisia on Friday in M’Bour was enough to earn South Africa a place at the semi-final alongside hosts Senegal from Group A.
Menzi Masuku scored five minutes from time to ensure victory for the South Africans at the expense of Tunisia, who were bundled out of the competition alongside Zambia.
However, the top three best teams will fly Africa's flag in the mens football event of the Rio Olympics in 2016.
