AFCON 2017: Egypt lose at home for Eagles

By Our Reporter
SEVEN time African Cup of Nations (AFCON) champions, Egypt lost their first international friendly 0-1 to Jordan as they prepare for the double header against Nigeria.
Coach Hector Cuper who paraded an Egyptian team made up local-based stars, could not watch after a school boy defending cost him a second defeat after he took the job from former United State of America coach.

Recall the Argentine tasted his first defeat in the hands of Chad during the AFCON 2017 qualifiers.
A free kick from Jordan's Mohammad Al-Dmeiri was not properly cleared and the ball fell to the unmarked Ahmed Samir who fired home from close range what became the only goal of the
game at the stadium in Aswan.
The Pharaohs will next face Libya on Friday in their final tune-up game.
Egypt are on top of Group G of the Nations Cup qualifiers with maximum 6points from wins over Tanzania and Chad, while Nigeria are second on 4points.
The Pharaohs are bidding to reach next year's Gabon finals for the first time since winning the last of their record seven titles in 2010.
