GERMAN Bundesliga side, Werder Bremen has opted out in the race to sign Super Eagles vice-captain, Ogenyi Onazi after they completed the signing of Sambou Yatabaré.
The Malian was on loan to Greek giants, Olympiacos from Belgian side, Standard Liege.
Onazi's wage demands was said to be too rich for the Green and White who had hoped to sign the SS Lazio combative midfielder for injured Philipp Bargfrede.
Yatabaré was Thursday afternoon unveiled to the press and fans after he put pen to a deal that will keep him to his new club till 2019.
Recall that after Bremen had its 700, 000 euros bid rejected, it Sporting Director, Thomas Eichin told Fussballtransfers.com that: "I know the player, but in January there are many alternatives," he said.
Meanwhile, English Premier League trio of Everton, Newcastle and Swansea who are all monitoring the market, could sign the 23-year-old who's unhappy with his lack of playing time as the January transfer window draws to close.
