CHAN 2016 EXIT: CAF rates Nigeria 9th

CONFEDERATION of African Football (CAF) has rated Nigeria's
Home-Based Eagles at the 9th best team in the ongoing African
Nation Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The 2014 bronze winner failed to qualify for the last eight
despite its impressive opening game victory against Niger Republic were Wydad Casablanca new signing, Chisom Chikatara bagged the tournament's first hat-trick.
Chikata, then scored his 4th of the tournament in the 1-1 with Tunisia.
Nigeria, who have recorded 4points was eliminated from the

champions by Guinea who had just 2points in the last Group C
game after recording its first victory.
The statistics provided by CAF after the 1st round of matches sees Nigeria on the 9th spot after scoring 5 goals and conceding two followed by (10th) Morocco,(11th) Angola and (12th) Uganda.
Zimbabwe (13th), Gabon (14th) and Ethiopia (15th) while Niger Republic who conceded 11 goals scoring only two are 16th in the ranking.
Meanwhile, the best team to 8th will be revealed by CAF after the end of the champions on February 7th.
