CHAN 2016: Home-Based Eagles foes share spoils

By Our Reporter
HOME-Based Eagles African Nations Championship (CHAN) foes Tunisia and Guinea shared the spoils in the first Group C game decided at the Kigali Regional Stadium.
The game ended in a four goals thriller as the duo of Ahmed Akaichi and Alseny Camara Agogo made the headlines as they both bagged a brace apiece for the Carthage Eagles and Syli Nationale. The North Africans will feel they have let two point slip out of their hands, having twice held the lead while also hitting the woodwork on two separate occasions, while Guinea will be satisfied with the result on their CHAN debut.
The 2-2 results meant both teams have recorded a point each, so Nigeria could leapfrog Guinea who tops the group if they beat Niger Republic this evening.
The teams will be in action again on Friday in the second round of Group C matches, as Tunisia will lock horns against Nigeria, while Guinea face Niger.
