Chippa boss rues Okwuosa suspension

CHIPPA United new coach, Dan Malelsela has admitted that its going to be a huge setback after ex-Super Eagles defender, James Okwuosa to card suspension.
The Nigerian stopper, who captains the Port Elizabeth-based club, picked up his fourth caution of the season last Sunday when Chippa were beaten 3-1 at home by frontrunners Bidvest Wits at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The development meant Okwuosa will miss Saturday's Absa Premiership against Lamontville Golden Arrows.
“I had several players on three yellow cards and I said to myself ‘God forbid they get booked, we need to save these guys’. But now we have to make a plan and see what we can come up with. At least it is only for just one game,” said the new Chippa coach.
“Arrows won at the weekend so they are doing well with Clinton Larsen,” added Malesela.
Larsen took over at Arrows last month and has seen the club to successive victories in his first two matches in charge.
“We have to try and find solutions. The other challenge about Arrows is their last match (a 3-1 win away against Free State Stars on Saturday) was not on television. But we will have to find a way to prepare for them and come up with the three points,” added Malesela, who takes charge of only his third game when Chippa travel up to Durban.
