Nasarawa Utd players get $235 as allowance in Senegal

By Our Reporter
NASARAWA United players got $235 each (about N46,812) as allowance for drawing Generation Foot FC of Senegal to advance to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup on 2-1 aggregate, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The Solid Miners players who returned to Abuja from Dakar for their Nigeria Premier League away game against Niger Tornadoes at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, it was said rejected the offer.
An inside source disclosed that: "Of what value is $235 as traveling and feeding allowance, it was total unfair the way we were treated by our management.
"We heard what other Nigerian teams participating in the CAF inter-club competition got. If they had told us before the game that it was that meager amount they would pay as bonus, am sure something else could have happened.
"Mind you, they couldn't even feed us properly, as we had to pay for a good meal from it.
"It was really painful that one was treated like a street beggar after qualifying to the next round of the
Confederation Cup."
The Solid Miners will now face CS Constantine from Algeria in the first round in March.
