CHAN Eagles, Paul Onobi is yet to resume training with Sunshine Stars of Akure, less than a month Nigeria got eliminated for the local football fiesta in Rwanda.
NaijaSportsXtra scooped that the midfielder has not been seen around the Akure Waves camp let alone train under his new coach, Samson Unuannel.
Our source hinted that: "Like what was experience by other teams that had players who participated in the African Nations Championship, only goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Tunde Adeniji returned to the team."Onobi has not been seen, but am not too sure if he's still under contract with Sunshine Stars or not."
Sunshine Stars who missed the chance of representing Nigeria in the CAF Confederations Cup but drew to Enyimba to finish 6th on the log, will kick-off the new season with a home game against Federations and Charity Cup holders, Akwa United at the Akure Township Stadium.
