THE League Management Company (LMC) has fixed the mid-week matches for March 23 view to allow the 19 invited Nigeria Premier League stars to prepare fully with their European counterpart for two important AFCON qualifiers against Egypt, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
Meanwhile, the matchday 6 games involving continental teams Enyimba, Warri Wolves and Nasarawa United have also been postponed.
According to Jubril Arowolo who disclosed via a social media post on Wednesday afternoon, "The week 6 NPFL match between Shooting Stars and Nasarrawa United in Lafia this weekend has being postponed for the Solid Miner's continental engagement.
"As such, Shooting Stars are free this weekend but will intensify training for the rescheduled Week 2 encounter with Enyimba F.C of Aba slated for next Wednesday (16/3/2016) in Port-Harcourt, the adopted grounds for the peoples Elephants.
"And the next home game would be against Rivers United, a week 7 match on the 19/3/2016."
Rangers International of Enugu tops the log with 10points while Nasarawa United are bottom with no point.
