GIWA FC Gbenga Ogunbote has hailed fans of Shooting Stars of Ibadan for the warm reception accorded him on matchday 5.
Ogunbote who had a brilliant time with the Oluyole Warriors left the club before the commencement of the new season to join the Jos team.
The ex-Sunshine Stars coach said after his team's 2-1 defeat to the Oluyole Warriors that: "It was a balanced game but we never believed we are going to lose but losing means we have to go back to drawing board. "I never expected the kind of warm reception I got that underscored the fact that Ibadan fans are good people, I love them.
For Kadiri Ikhana whose side is recording his second victory of the season said "We played like a team but failed to convert our chances that's why the slim win! Although, the season is still young our target is to be on the continent in the end."
Izu Joseph put Shooting Stars ahead within two minutes with a header and substitute Umar Kabir made it 2-0 in the 88th minute before Isiaki Olawale pulled one back in 91st minute to the disappointment of the home fans who blamed goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi for the unpardonable error.
