SHEHU Dikko, League Management Company (LMC) boss says the La Liga partnership will assist El-Kanemi Warriors, as a club from Spain will visit Nigeria in July, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
Dikko who was guest on AIT's breakfast magazine programme, Kakaaki Friday morning informed of the development.
"The Spanish La Liga partnership will offer us opportunities on how to develop our digital platforms.
"It'll give NPFL club managers chance to learn on club management structure."Opportunities in the NPFL is enormous and the digital platform is one area targeted to improve the league's finances.
"LaLiga foundation has plans to assist El-Kanemi and the people of Maiduguri as part of the partnership. A LaLiga club will be in Nigeria to play in July."
The LMC boss also expressed his delight with the turn-out of fans during the matchday 16 tie between El-Kanemi Warriors and Kano Pillars.
"It was good to see we had 22,800 fans at the Maiduguri stadium yesterday to watch the El-Kanemi vs Kano Pillars Football is a unifying factor in the country. We are excited
that NPFL football has returned to Maiduguri.
"The NPFL can become the biggest hub of job creation in the country. We just need the government to provide the proper infrastructure to support the league."
