CAF Slaps Nigeria With $5000 Fine

THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) has slapped Nigeria with a $5000 fine (about N900, 000)for fans misconduct during its first leg AFCON 2017 qualifying match against Chad on June 13 in Kaduna.
The decision of the continent's football governing body was released on its website.
CAF said Nigeria was punished because fans rushed into the pitch to celebrate the Super Eagles' second goal.
Recall, midfielder Ogenyi Onazi saw red in the victory.
