Rangers Fed Cup win big boost-Odita

By Rasaq Oboirien
OKEY Odita says Rangers International FC victory over Akure City in the Federation Cup Round of 64 will help prepare the team for the second round of the season, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The Flying Antelopes missed the chance to be mid-season champions after they shared spoils with local derby rivals, Heartland on matchday 18.
Odita an ex-Enyimba defender said after the game against the non-league side that: "This victory over Akure City will give us the needed boost for the second round of the League. I am so happy that we won."
A Bobby Clement 15th minute strike and that from Obinna Nwobodo in the second half at the FIFA Goal Project pitch in Abuja, ended Akure City's debut in the age long football championship.
The Nigeria Premier League title contenders will not face ABS of Ilorin in the round of 32 of Federation Cup.
