Rivers Utd must work hard for title, CAF spot-Eguma

TECHNICAL manager of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma has informed that his lads needed to work hard to stand any chance of winning the Nigeria Premier League title or book a CAF spot.
The Garden City team lost to Sunshine Stars on Saturday via a stunning strike from Dele Olorundare.
“It was a good game and we prepared very hard to win as a good result would have helped our position on the log.
“We have lost now and must look ahead because the league is getting tougher now.
“We must work hard and try to win the title or at the very least, get a ticket to represent Nigeria on the continent next season,” Eguma said.
For a delighted Sunshine Stars head coach, Solomon Ogbeide however lavished words of praise on the vanquished opponents.
“We played a very good side. They are tactically very disciplined but we are also a very good side.
“They are where they are today on the log not by fluke but proved that they deserve to be there but we are also a very good side,” Ogbeide told the Media.
The defeat leave United in third place on the log with 44 points, three adrift off Enugu Rangers and Wikki Tourist who have both played a game more than Rivers.
Sunshine Stars move up one place to sixth with 39 points from 25 matches.
