EX-Portsmouth of England coach, Alain Perrin could lead Algeria's Desert Foxes against Nigeria in next month's 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Uyo, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Negotiations between the Frenchman and the panic-stricken Algerian FA(FAF) are said to be in advance talks 48 hours after Milovan Rajevac threw in the towel siting pressure.
The Serb was said to have lost the locker room after some players protest after the Foxes home draw against Cameroon Indomitable Lions.
Nigeria's Super Eagles lead Group B with 3points after securing a win against Zambia's Chipolopolo in Ndola while Algeria and Cameroon have a point each.
The former coach of Troyes, is favored for the hot seat, as it would be recalled that he had a good working rapport with former Desert Foxes Rafik Saifi and Farid Ghazi whom he both signed for the French Lique 1 club before he was axed and moved to China two years ago.
Perrin won the French Championat and two cups of France with Lyon and Sochaux respectively.
