Algeria's Leekens to study Eagles match tapes

By Rasaq Oboirien
DESERT Foxes coach, Georges Leekens will use this week to study Nigeria's Super Eagles match tapes ahead of the November 12 African World Cup qualifiers in Uyo, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
According to a close source to the coach, the Belgian, his assistants will use two or three days beginning from Wednesday to study the last four Eagles match tapes, and with particular interest on Gernot Rohr's first two games as coach, Nigeria versus Tanzania(AFCON 2017 Qualifiers) and Zambia versus Nigeria in Ndola (Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers).
Recall Nigeria recorded victories with the Franco-German in the dug-out.
The ex-Lokereen coach will also solidify the Foxes backline, after he saw the goal they conceded against Cameroon Indomitable Lions on match day 1 as a sloppy one.
He would engage the Foxes defenders on a three days drilling programme, with a view to putting them in shape for the make or bust game in Uyo.
Algeria and Cameroon have a point each after the draw while Nigeria are group leaders with 3points after securing as away victory against Chipolopolo.
