AMAJU Pinnick has stressed that Chelsea FC wonderkid Tammy Abraham is not an immediate priority for the Super Eagles, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) boss said while answering from fans regarding players of Nigeria origin who are playing for European countries or clubs at the youth level.
Asked if the NFF had made contact with the Chelsea youngster as reported last week in the media in Nigeria, Amaju stated: "We are in touch with Brian Idowu a defender with FC Amkar Perm of Russia already. Tammy is not an immediate priority as we have loads of options upfront.
"We working on a lot of possibilities in that direction but our focus right now is to qualify for the World Cup.
"But if the Eagles Technical Adviser sees the urgency,then we expedite the process."
Born in London 19 years ago, Tammy Abraham is being touted as one of the top young players in England and has netted 7 goals cumulatively for the U18s and U19s team of England.
Abraham has been named to England U19s roster for the upcoming European Under-19 Championship in Germany.
He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool on May 11 before he was given another run out against Leicester City on the final day of the season.
