OBINNA Eleje, who rescued Katsina United from a home defeat at the weekend against Akwa United, has said he hopes to score 20 goals for ‘The Changi Boys’ this season.
On Sunday, the former Enyimba, Nasarawa and Warri Wolves striker came off the bench to draw Katsina United level at the restart of the second half.
It was a superb header off a corner for Eleje to open his goals account in the NPFL season.
And he said he now hopes to score a lot more goals because he is enjoying his time at the NNL champions.
“I’m so relaxed and as such I want to finish among the top 4 scorers in the league,” he declared.
“I have set a personal target of 20 goals this season.”
The big centre-forward is 25 years old and wears the No 25 shirt for Katsina United.
Eleje enjoyed a brief stint at FC Wallen in the second division in Switzerland between 2010 and 2011, and he believes that experience has stood him in good stead till today.
“I learnt a lot while I was there and I am still making use of what I learnt then,” he revealed.
