PRESIDENT of the Algeria Football Federation (FAF), Mohamed Raouraoua has denied Herve Renard's claim that he was contacted for the vacant Desert Foxes job ahead of next month's Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria in Uyo,  reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Recall Milovan Rejevac, quit the Desert Foxes siting intense pressure after Algeria drew 1-1 with Cameroon on match day 1 of the qualifiers, leaving Nigeria to go top of Group B after securing a 1-2 victory against Zambia in Ndola.
Raouraoua on FAF's Facebook page on Friday informed that the ex-Zambia and Ivory Coast and now Morocco coach was never contacted after the Frenchman told Moroccan media that Algeria and China have approached him but he prefers to continue his mission with the Atlas Lions.
"Following Hervé Renard statement, the Algerian Football Federation categorically deny such claim, but insist that it never made contact with the coach, even when he was unemployed.
"It is not our practice to contact technicians already employed . The behavior of the Frenchman is irresponsible and unacceptable act," Raouraoua stated.
