Wolves yet to access Ikeme's hip injury

By Our Reporter
WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers Interim Head Coach, Rob Edwards says the club is yet to know the extent of Carl Ikeme's hip injury.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper could be out of the November 12 African World Cup qualifiers against Algeria in Uyo owing to the injury.
Edwards said after Wolves 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park that:“Carl was struggling around his hip area which I think came after he stretched to make a save.
“He was having it iced at half time and I don’t yet know the extent of the problem.
“Hopefully he won’t be out for too long because he is very important for us."
This is a source of worry for Gernot Rohr who could go for a plan B, as Ikeme is the most experienced shot stopper he has invited for the game.
Meanwhile, Ikeme is expected to have a scan today to know how serious the hip injury is.
Nigeria leads Group B with 3points after its match day 1 victory against Zambia's Chipolopolo in Ndola, while Algeria and Cameroon are leveled on a point after they shares the spoils in Algeirs.
