AS part of its pre season training, Akwa United have lined up a number of friendlies to put the Maikaba boys in a good shape for the upcoming NPFL season.
Spokes person to the Promise Keepers, Uwem Ekoh told newsmen that the club will play against Diamond FC of Calabar tomorrow, Thursday at U J. Esune stadium.
Ekoh further added that the Promise Keepers will also have a training match with the Police Mechine team of Calabar on Saturday.
" The essence of the friendlies is to prepare team for the new football season which is expected to kick-off on December 18.
" We are also making plans to play other top teams in the elite division before close of the pre season stay in calabar", says Ekoh
Recall the 2015 Federation Cup champions finished the season with 47points with 13 victories and eight draws.
