SLAIN Shooting Stars of Ibadan defender, Izu Joseph will be laid to rest on December 3rd, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Oluyole Warriors was reported dead last month a stray bullet from a gun duel between operatives of the Joint Army Task Force (JTF) and militants hit him while on holidays in his home town in Rivers State following the completion of the 2015/ 2016 NPFL season.
Shooting Stars Twitter handle @official3SC confirmed the the burial date via a post shared today.
"The remains of Izu Joseph will be laid to rest on 3rd December, 2016. More details to follow. Still can't believe this guy is gone."
The late defender played a huge role in 3SC’s survival bid last season, when he scored the winning goal in the game against Wikki Tourists at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
