AWCON2016-Super Falcons battle rivals Ghana in Group B

AFRICAN Women defending champions, Nigeria's Super Falcons will renew its rivalry against West African neigbours, Ghana Black Queens after been drawn in Group B in this year's championship in Cameroon, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.

In the draws held on Sunday at the Palais Polyvalent des Sports, Yaounde, Nigeria was drawn in Group B alongside  Ghana, Mali and debutants, Kenya.
Host, Cameroon are in Group A alongside continent women heavy weights, South Africa's Bayana Bayana, Egypt and Zimbabwe.
The championship is expected to kick-off from 19th November 2016 through December 3.
Having won the trophy nine times in eleven appearance (in 1991, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2014), the Coach Florence Omagbemi lead the Falcons to become the first African side to lift the trophy for a record 10 times as her team open it's campaign against Mali at the Stade Municipal de Limbe.
