Victory against Kwara Utd was hardwork-Coach Hassan

By Rasaq Oboirien
COACH Hassan Abubakar has informed that the victory against Kwara United in Ilorin was a tough one for his Gombe United squad, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Savannah Scorpions shocked the Afonja Warriors in Saturday's win or bust game that has set a three horse race for the group ticket down the wire.
A delighted Abubakar said after the game:" We played a game of our lives and at the end we got the reward for our hard work and brilliance.
"The victory didn't come easy, but my players were fantastic, as they didn't lose focus.
"They kept their cool even when things at one point or the other didn't go their way. Kudos to the match officials too, as at this stage of the promotion quest, one can get a result like this."
"For us, the promotion ticket it's not won yet, until after the final two games (Gombe Utd versus Adamawa Utd and Supreme Courts vs Gombe Utd).
"These games are key to us, and having got this far, all we now need to do, will be to double our efforts to ensure we get a promotion ticket.
"Our fans too must rally behind us, as we need them to come in large numbers to supports us, as this is not the time for criticisms," the ex-Golden Eaglets coach stated.
Gombe United go top of Group A2 with 22points followed by Dreams FC, owned by former Lobi Stars chieftain Dominic Iorfa, 21pts, and Kwara United 20pts.
