ZAMBIAN Premier league side Zanaco FC are on the verge of signing ex-Kano Pillars defender Anthony Abawula as they beef up their squad ahead of their participation in the CAF champions league.
Speaking exclusively to Soka25east.com the 26 year old expressed his delight in joining the Lusaka based side stating that it is the right step in his career.
“I feel good, I have played many big clubs in Nigeria, journey Zanaco is a good thing in my career.”
The lanky defender targets to help the Mumamba Namba led side to lift the the coveted CAF champions league trophy.
“My target with them is to do all within my ability to help the club do very well in the champions league next season. I have my eyes on the trophy.”
The defender who is expected to arrive in Zambia later today (30th November 2016) has previously played for Niger Tornadoes, Lobi Stars, Nasarawa United and Al Taibah FC in Jordan.
