Cooreman returns to Ikorodu Utd

By Rasaq Oboirien
COACH Maurice Cooreman is expected to make a return to relegated Nigeria Premier League side, Ikorodu United, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
According to a close source to 'The Oga Boys' a deal has been tabled to Cooreman, so what remains now is for him to put pen to paper.
"I can inform you that Cooreman should be back to Ikorodu United to seal up a deal. He was the club's overwhelming choice after he got us promoted last season. So we expect the same magic from him as we want to pick a promotion ticket at the end of the new Nigerian a National League (NNL) season."
Recall the Belgian endured a complicated relationship with the management of Akwa United since he joined from Lagos club Ikorodu United as he was suspended on two different occasions for actions the club board felt undermined the other members of his backroom staff.
The septuagenarian is probably the most travelled foreign coach presently in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL), having been in the dug-out for Bendel Insurance, Lobi Stars and Gabros (now FC Ifeanyiubah).
Other clubs also trained by him includes NPA (now Warri Wolves), Ocean Boys, Enyimba, Gombe Utd and Ghanaian giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
