The Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 finale was a game of two halves. The first ended in a barren draw with no goal recorded despite the half chances both teams created.
Bassey Effiom of ABS FC brought life to the game scoring the first goal from a poor defending by Kastina United defenders.
Kastina United relentless counter attack then paid off in the 68th minute when Abdulwahab BIdemi scored the equalizing goal.
ASB FC should have scored the winning goal on the dot of 88th minute but their striker blasted his shot to thin air.
The match official from Gombe State had no choice than to decide the winner of the NNL Super 4 via penalties.
Kastina United got the kick-off scoring their first two kicks while ABS FC missed one.
The Bala Niyiku team who should have wrapped it up scoring their third spot missed, then gave ABS the advantage.
The Makinwa team then made it 2-2 from the spot to put pressure on Kastina Utd.
Despite the pressure, Kastina Utd scored their 4th spot kick while ABS FC missed to make it 3-2.
'Old horse' Ado Ali made his experience in the team count for his team scoring the 5th penalty that handed them the trophy at the end leaving the Ilorin team to rue their penalty misses.
