36 Lions Gafar hails Esperanza after 4-goals thriller

LIAMEED Gafar, CEO of 36 Lions FC of Lagos has showered praises on non-league side, FC Esperanza after both teams shared the spoils in a four goals thriller during a pre-season friendly game, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Esperanza got the first goal of the tune-up game via a brilliant strike by Dimaranze Nelson who scored from an assist from Obinna Ferdinand.
As the first half got close to end, 36 Lions leveled scores from the spot kick after their striker capitalized on a defensive mix-up in the box. 36 Lions then took the lead in the 67th minute as the scoreline stood at 2-1.
Esperanza's better play and hard work then paid off after Aaron Ogodogbo leveled the game in the 74th minute scoring from another assist from Ferdinand.
Gafar while speaking said:"This team (Esperanza) stands the chance of going places.
"They are a good team with good organization.
"Two young players from squad were a delight to watch, so I have asked them to join 36 Lions."
Meanwhile, Esperanza lost 2-1 to Mountain of Fire FC of Lagos in another friendly game played on Thursday.
The second string players of the Nigeria Premier League side who didn't make the trip to Nnewi for the Matchday 2 game against FC Ifeanyi Ubah took on the non-league side.
MFM FC scored the first goal in the 38th minute from penalty spot to gain a first half lead.
In the second half, Esperanza's Abel Matthew put his team level after he found MFM FC goal 15 minutes to end the tie.
The Olukoya Boys then showed why they are an elite league team scoring on the dot of full time to win the game at 2-1.
Esperanza duo of Pulovie Otokito and Sunday Olisah put up a brilliant performance denying MFM FC the chance to make the most of the ball in the midfield.
