Plateau Utd thrash Enyimba to go top of NPL log

PLATEAU United shot to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after they thrashed Gbenga Ogunbote's Enyimba FC of Aba 3-1, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Golbe put the Jos team up with the first goal of the game in the 12th minute of play.
Umar scored in the 10th minutes into the second half to give his team a two goal lead.
Umeh then put the icing on the cake for his team scoring the third goal in the 82nd minute to put the scoreline at 3-0.
It was too little too late for the People's Elephants as Ibenegbu pulled one back a minute later.
Plateau United who shocked Remo Stars on matchday 1 now command the top spot with 6points and go two matches unbeaten.
Abia Warriors who are the second team to go two matches unbeaten pipped visiting Kastina United 2-0.
Plateau United and Okey Emordi's Warriors are on 6points each but despite the +3goals difference both team has, the Jos team are top owing to the five goals they have scored against four by the Abia side.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah put behind their #9.1million sanction behind after the abandoned season opening game as they mauled Mountain of Fire Ministries FC of Lagos 4-0.
Lobi Stars made amends from their 2-0 loss to 3SC of Ibadan as they outsmart Kano Pillars by a lone goal scored by former CHAN-Eagles defender, Solomon Kwambe in the 38th minute.
Sunshine Stars of Akure claimed the bragging rights of the South-West derby when they defeated rivals, Shooting Stars by a lone goal.
Oluwadamilare scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute. 
The Matchday 2 fixtures also had three games where teams shared the spoils.
Defending champions, Rangers International of Enugu put behind their derby loss to Abia Warriors as they drew 1-1 with Nasarawa United while Tornadoes and Rivers United had to come from behind to respectively force ABS FC and Akwa United to a draw.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Remo Stars FC of Sagamu are the only team yet to record a point after two matches as they were beaten 2-1 by Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium.
However, the game between El-Kanemi Warriors and Wikki Tourists in Maiduguri has been postponed to Thursday by the League Management Company(LMC).
