JOHN Mikel Obi has expressed his delight after he made a big money move to Chinese Super League side, Tianjin TEDA, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Super Eagles captain who completed a N54,583,319 million a- week move to his new club from Chelsea after passing a medical on Thursday also informed that he hopes to see his fellow Blues mate, Oscar.
Recall the Brazilian swapped Stamford Bridge for Shanghai SIPG in a £60million deal earlier this week.
A delighted Mikel on his official Twitter handle @mikel_john_obi said:"I am very happy to be joining Tianjin TEDA at an exciting time for the Chinese Super League / 我很高兴加入天津泰达 🇨🇳 @oscar8 see you soon... 😉 ⚽."
Mikel who has been a great servant to Chelsea since joining the club 10 years ago was completely frozen out by current manager Antonio Conte this season.
As a result, Mikel has decided to end his long association with the Blues and it can be confirmed that the 29-year-old has completed a move to Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin TEDA, with the midfielder believed to have signed a whopping £140,000-a-week deal with the Asian club.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Nigerian was linked to a move to both French giants, Marseille and Spanish La Liga strugglers, Valencia.
