KWARA UTD/WARRI WOLVES’ BOTCHED MATCH:

NFF, LMC urged to investigate Ogbeide, Wolves

By Rasaq Oboirien
KWARA Utd boss, Justin Tenger has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to investigate Coach Solomon Ogbeide and Warri Wolves.
The veteran coach queried why Ogbeide and the Oil City team have been the ones involved in abandoned league games in recent times over fan trouble.
“I want to use this medium to task the NFF to investigate this bizarre showing.
“The behaviours of our coaches and club managers have now been put in the spotlight, and we must really ask ourselves once again; why is it Solomon Ogbeide and Warri Wolves? Can they be third time right?
“First, it was against Akwa United, then Nasarawa United and now Kwara United, all of these against teams away from home and not in Warri.
“Why must they (Wolves) always cause problems for the Globacom Premier League?
“Why did he abandon the game in Kwara United? He had a prolonged problem with Akwa United and at the end, he and his team abandoned a game in Uyo. The action saw us being banished to Rojeny, but as fate would have it, we had our ban lifted and I defeated him in the replay in Owerri.
“As a coach that has not gone off any season without handling a club for the past 24 years, I assume I have the right to say things as they are as regards this matter.
“So, tribe or sentiments aside, they have escaped being sanctioned twice and they can’t be third time lucky. So, I urge the NFF or LMC to investigate Ogbeide and Warri Wolves and, without fear or favour, punish either or both of them if they are found wanting.”
