NIGERIA'S Dream Team foe, Egypt are set to start a training camp on 13 November amid preparations for the upcoming U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Wednesday.
"The international players will join their teammates in the camp later on 18 November after playing with Egypt's first team against Chad in the World Cup qualifiers," EFA's board member Hamada El-Masry explained in a statement via the federation's official website.
"We have agreed with head coach Hossam El-Badry to arrange a friendly match during the camp on 21 or 22 November, while the opponent will be determined later," he added.
Egypt was handed a tough group in the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, qualifying for next summer’s Olympic games, alongside Nigeria, Algeria and Mali.
The tournament's other group includes hosts Senegal, South Africa, Zambia and Tunisia.
Senegal will host the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations from 28 November to 12 December.
The first three teams will represent the continent in the Rio Olympics.
